Pop Quiz, Monday with Chang Hun Lee
The Pop Quiz, Monday is a fun little exam that we love to give to savvy business owners. The examination is not a surprise after all since the interviewee already knew about the questions in advance. However, we can always pretend and have fun with the scenario of a young entrepreneur sitting in class nervously biting on their pencil. They are ready to take a pop quiz on a chapter that they were supposed to read the night before. Instead, they played Metroid all night on their SNES (Oops, this was me in high school). The real purpose of the pop quiz is that this is a fun way to introduce business tips from real-world experiences that you can not learn in a classroom. We want to thank our entrepreneur for being a good sport and volunteering their time to answer a few questions to help our community grow from their knowledge.
I want to introduce you to our guest today who will be taking our Pop Quiz Monday.
Can you please tell everyone your name?

My dream, employees, parents, friends and fellow students who support my journey motivates me to get up every day and go to work.

My co-workers inspire me my standing next to me no matter what decision I make or what outcome we confront.
How do you have fun at work (team building, pranks, etc..)?
Every 3 month we have a sports tournament for a small price and weekly get together for team spirit.
What are some of the challenges of your job?
One of the challenges of my job is communication. We currently have employees in Korea who are Korean and employees in the USA who are American. Current challenge we are facing is communication between the Korea entity and the USA entity. As we get invested, I am willing to provide language education for each entity to smooth our communication between two parties.
What are some lessons learned from a past project that you can share with us?
We started in Korea; therefore, our business model was based on the Korean market. However, when we decided to target the USA market, we fail to adjust our business model based on the USA market. So, in the beginning, we faced various difficulties regarding traction, networking, etc. It is crucial as a CEO to understand that every country has its own culture with different market and change business model based on the analysis of the market.
What advice would you give to someone who is starting out in your industry?
I will advise them to review the law of the country that you are willing to start the company because some country’s law prohibits several services that are legal in another country.
