The Pop Quiz, Monday is a fun little exam that we love to give to savvy business owners. The examination is not a surprise after all since the interviewee already knew about the questions in advance. However, we can always pretend and have fun with the scenario of a young entrepreneur sitting in class nervously biting on their pencil. They are ready to take a pop quiz on a chapter that they were supposed to read the night before. Instead, they played Metroid all night on their SNES (Oops, this was me in high school). The real purpose of the pop quiz is that this is a fun way to introduce business tips from real-world experiences that you can not learn in a classroom. With our research we aim to create new knowledge that will help you innovate and improve your products and services.I, Bharat Sadana and my friend, Mr. Rajendra Parida are the founder members of Next Vision. In 2015, I and Mr. Rajendra Parida as a team founded Next Vision Research Solutions Pvt. Ltd. and never looked back. Mr. Parida brings with him 30 plus years of experience as a data analyst, and he has a strong hold on analytical solutions in market research. It is a matter of pride to be working with such an innovative and experienced professional in Next Vision. My core team comprises of administration experts, data analysts, market research professionals, content developers, corporate advisers, operational executives, and survey coordinators. They all share our vision, bring varied experience with them and are driven by passion.
What do you love most about your job?
Infinite options of creativity and through our vision we can explore any given industry at any time and exploring such knowledge is fascinating, and I just love it and above that what value we are providing to our society is worth anytime.
What motivates you to get up every day and go to work?
I had my own set of innovative ideas, and those ideas were my passion. I couldn’t pursue my passion in this industry working for someone else, where there was no scope for experimenting in this field, and there was always a fear of losing my job or being judged if I did so. Moreover, I already had a decent experience working as a market research analyst in different companies, so it was time to do what I wanted to do in my way and eventually, do something substantial for my industry as well as society a few years down the line. My vision is the main motivation which keeps me going.
How do your co-workers inspire you?
Having a wonderful team with me was another motivation for me. My friend and colleague like Mr. Rajendra Parida are immensely talented as well as passionate about market research. We share the same vision, and without such a team I wouldn’t have dreamt of doing it alone.
How do you have fun at work (team building, pranks, etc..)?
Time to time we keep on experimenting with our ideas and activities and also to promote our brands and clients we organize cricket tournaments and other such events which helps in team bonding and fun as well.
What are some of the challenges of your job?
People driven by a true vision rarely see anyone as a competition because they are too focused to better themselves all the time. Same is the case with me. Next Vision’s vision in itself is the driving force for the company. The honest approach towards our work has earned us a reputation in a short span of time, and we are trying to live up to it with every project we are taking up. Our app Nishkarsh is the first market research app in India to have the feature of picture upload of the recently bought product in question. The respondents are connected to our payment wallet through their Aadhaar card, and only one respondent can fill up a survey from the same phone. All our surveys are designed after thorough research, are short, targeted and make sure that answers prove authentic.
Both our qualitative and quantitative research methodologies are aimed at providing a breakthrough study of the market. The study is aimed at providing our clients the maximum scope of growth, improvement, branding, and sales. We even device different customized ways to boost sales which is provided by none of our kind in the industry till date. As I mentioned earlier, we make sure that everyone in the operational channel with us benefits.
What are some lessons learned from a past project that you can share with us?
I and my team concluded that market research strategy and its strength is underrated and underutilized by the businesses in our nation. So we brought forward an innovative and more comprehensive way to act upon the dependable results we provide. It is important to understand that it is not only an advertising tool but market research directly influences your profitability, credibility, and victory in the market. You need to keep on challenging yourself and keep on innovating and adapting as per circumstances something which we are not doing earlier.
What advice would you give to someone who is starting out in your industry?
Market research is all about honesty, authenticity, and accuracy. If you can excel at achieving three of them in your services, you will be a front runner with best of your efforts because there are absolutely no shortcuts to success be it any business or ambition.
