The Pop Quiz, Monday is a fun little exam that we love to give to savvy business owners. The examination is not a surprise after all since the interviewee already knew about the questions in advance. However, we can always pretend and have fun with the scenario of a young entrepreneur sitting in class nervously biting on their pencil. They are ready to take a pop quiz on a chapter that they were supposed to read the night before. Instead, they played Metroid all night on their SNES (Oops, this was me in high school). The real purpose of the pop quiz is that this is a fun way to introduce business tips from real-world experiences that you can not learn in a classroom. We want to thank our entrepreneur for being a good sport and volunteering their time to answer a few questions to help our community grow from their knowledge.

Majority of sales agents will give the impression; they are trying to help you buy the property you are interested in. However the reality is very different, they are being paid exclusively by the seller, and are working in the sellers best interests to help achieve the highest possible price for their client.

With this in mind, shouldn’t you have a professional representing you to help you negotiate the best price for you? We are trained negotiators that work exclusively for the buyer.

What do you love most about your job?
Helping our clients make informed and smarter decisions that will benefit them in both the short and long term.

What motivates you to get up every day and go to work?
I want to leave a legacy for my children and their grandchildren, that allows them freedom of choice and access to the best education possible.

How do you have fun at work (team building, pranks, etc..)?
We often have team events, golf days, movie nights, lunches and dinners.

What are some of the challenges of your job?
The media plays a significant role in how people feel about the property market. The sentiment is very negative at the moment, but we understand the fundamentals and now is a great time to be buying property in Australia.

What are some lessons learned from a past project that you can share with us?
Always conduct your own due diligence and never rely on other peoples opinions.

What advice would you give to someone who is starting in your industry?
This is a people industry. The houses are a bi-product of what we do. Build relationships that are meaningful and always have your customer at the forefront.
