Pop Quiz, Monday with Arun Prakash

We are building world-class solutions in data science and software that are delivering awesome results for our customers. Being part of that is, simply put, a lot of fun.

The Pop Quiz, Monday is a fun little exam that we love to give to savvy business owners. The examination is not a surprise after all since the interviewee already knew about the questions in advance. However, we can always pretend and have fun with the scenario of a young entrepreneur sitting in class nervously biting on their pencil. They are ready to take a pop quiz on a chapter that they were supposed to read the night before. Instead, they played Metroid all night on their SNES (Oops, this was me in high school). The real purpose of the pop quiz is that this is a fun way to introduce business tips from real-world experiences that you can not learn in a classroom. We want to thank our entrepreneur for being a good sport and volunteering their time to answer a few questions to help our community grow from their knowledge.

I want to introduce you to our guest today who will be taking our Pop Quiz Monday.

Can you please tell everyone your name?

What is your job role?
CFO at Cerebri AI

Tell us about your company?
Cerebri AI enables enterprises to measure the value of every customer interaction – sales, marketing, service – from a customer’s point of view. Our product, Cerebri Values, is the first true measure of customer experience (CX) and is incredibly easy to use – every interaction is valued in dollars. Cerebri Values also measures the impact of the next best actions on customers’ commitment to brands and propensity to spend, maximizing customer-related KPIs.

What do you love most about your job?
Being part of building an exceptional something from a blank sheet of paper.

What motivates you to get up every day and go to work?
We are building world-class solutions in data science and software that are delivering awesome results for our customers. Being part of that is, simply put, a lot of fun.

How do your co-workers inspire you?
By working hard every day (and often at night) and leveraging their talents and teams to deliver great things for our company and customers.

How do you have fun at work (team building, pranks, etc..)?
We celebrate the wins first and foremost. It is a team effort for sure. Day to day, we get to know each other and lightly make fun of various things about each other (where we grew up, favorite sports teams, etc.). Believe it or not, we can talk about politics and current events even though there are differing opinions in the office because we have gained a healthy respect for each other’s intellect and personal qualities.

What are some of the challenges of your job?
Growing an early-stage company is never easy! There is always a new challenge, whether negotiating a commercial deal, managing HR, or raising capital.

What are some lessons learned from a past project that you can share with us?
Establish clear lines of communications and observe them, so if things start to slow down, there is a clear way to proceed.

What advice would you give to someone who is starting in your industry?
Surround yourselves with the smartest people you can find. AI is no longer a buzzword, and those who will last in this arena will be able to deliver results in production environments, not just play with data.

Thank you for taking our pop quiz today. You get an A+ for effort. You can learn more about our interviewee and their business by visiting them on the web:
