Pop Quiz, Monday with Michael Christian

The Pop Quiz, Monday is a fun little exam that we love to give to savvy business owners. The examination is not a surprise after all since the interviewee already knew about the questions in advance. However, we can always pretend and have fun with the scenario of a young entrepreneur sitting in class nervously biting on their pencil. They are ready to take a pop quiz on a chapter that they were supposed to read the night before. Instead, they played Metroid all night on their SNES (Oops, this was me in high school). The real purpose of the pop quiz is that this is a fun way to introduce business tips from real-world experiences that you can not learn in a classroom. We want to thank our entrepreneur for being a good sport and volunteering their time to answer a few questions to help our community grow from their knowledge.

I want to introduce you to our guest today who will be taking our Pop Quiz Monday.

Can you please tell everyone your name?

What do you love most about your job?
Engaging in community service provides my residents with the opportunity to become active residents of our community and has a lasting, positive impact on society at large. Community service or volunteerism enables residents to acquire life skills and knowledge, as well as provide a service to those who need it most.

What motivates you to get up every day and go to work?
My community & our residents! They are a common thread used to bring people together to advocate and support each other in the fight to overcome those threats. As human beings, we need a sense of belonging, and that sense of belonging is what connects us to the many relationships we develop.

How do your co-workers inspire you?
I “lead by example”! I am one who makes sure that my team works together to achieve a common goal.

What are some of the challenges of your job?
I’m exposed to my clients’ difficult personal situations, but that’s not the hardest part of the job. The challenge lies in not taking the job home with them to the point where it has an impact on my own life. I also need to ensure that I don’t impose my views and values on the people with whom I work.

What are some lessons learned from a past project that you can share with us?
Focus on happiness.
Create or join an official club or activity.
Lunchtime activities.

Leave work at home.
Make the most of animated gifs.
Take a walk.

What advice would you give to someone who is starting in your industry?
Community service is when you work for free to help benefit your community’s residents and your community. … Community service can have a lot of positive effects on students, such as helping them to develop skills, making contacts, and allowing them to improve the quality of life of others.
