The Pop Quiz, Monday is a fun little exam that we love to give to savvy business people. The examination is not a surprise after all since the interviewee already knew about the questions in advance. However, we can always pretend and have fun with the scenario of a young entrepreneur sitting in class nervously biting on their pencil. They are ready to take a pop quiz on a chapter that they were supposed to read the night before. Instead, they played Metroid all night on their SNES (Oops, this was me in high school). The real purpose of the pop quiz is that this is a fun way to introduce business tips from real-world experiences that you cannot learn in a classroom. We want to thank our interviewee for being a good sport and volunteering their time to answer a few questions to help our community grow from their knowledge.
I want to introduce you to our guest today who will be taking our Pop Quiz, Monday.
Can you please tell everyone your name?
What is your job role?
Founder & CEO
Tell us about your company?
Intelli Stack is full stack back office as a service. Enabling startups to focus on growth by delivering scalable, tech-forward back office operations
What do you love most about your job?
Seeing our teams grow, learn and succeed.
What motivates you to get up every day and go to work?
Our goal is to enrich the lives and business of every entrepreneur and team we work with. Seeing a client receive a new round of funding or hit a major milestone is what gets me up every morning.
How do your co-workers inspire you?
Bringing new ideas to the table is extremely inspiring. When someone on our team takes their work to the next level by innovation in their own or team’s process, it’s very exciting to see.
How do you have fun at work (team building, pranks, etc..)?
We always joke around and keep our conversations fun. We also have team dinners and outings when performance goals have been met. It keeps our work dynamic low-stress but also goal oriented.
What are some of the challenges of your job?
Juggling 50 projects at once and wearing lots of hats. I live for it. But it can definitely get challenging.
What are some lessons learned from a past project that you can share with us?
Never be afraid to hire people smarter and more capable than you. Everyone has strengths and weaknesses. Being able to fill those knowledge or skill gaps is extremely important. I’ve had failed projects where I tried to do something I wasn’t especially good at, but tried to do anyway myself. Failure quickly ensued
What advice would you give to someone who is starting out in your industry?
Embrace the cloud. It’s the present and future of back office services.
